Carry-on only has been at the top of my mind, so for this trip, I started with a plan to practice and organize our bags. Sunday afternoon Linda and I spent two good hours packing and reviewing the things we will take on our trip to Ecuador.
We are using the Osprey Farpoint(m) and Osprey Fairview(f) 40 liter carry on bags. Our first test pack weights were 18 lbs and 16.5 lbs respectively.
Typically packing is easy, but this time we are trying to carry on only. Carry-on only with a small quiver of camera equipment for blogging and book photos. I also took a Kavu Rope Bag for under seat carry on.
Next week we will finalize our loads and probably be more like 24 lbs and 22 lbs. Still very manageable. I was very happy with the sizing changes for the Fairview 40, Linda has a short torso measurement and this bag is perfect.
